Kathy grew up in Panama, where she was an honor student as well as a local golf star, winning the Junior Golf Championships 5 years in a row. After attending Arizona State University on a golf scholarship, Kathy moved to Dallas and graduated cum laude in Finance from UT-Dallas. She got her real estate license in 1987 and plunged into her successful career.
In 1999, she brilliantly decided to ask Steve Habgood to partner with her. Kathy has also been very active in community and charity events, including serving on the boards of the MetroTex Association of REALTORS®, DFW Black Tie Dinner, HRC Federal Club, and co-chaired Dallas’ AIDS LifeWalk.
In recognition of Kathy’s work on behalf of the Dallas community, then-mayor of Dallas Laura Miller declared September 13, 2003, as Kathy Hewitt Day! Kathy lives in East Kessler with her two cats, Charlie and Scout.
